I feel the need to start this one off by saying I don’t like Belgian Pale Ales. Your Leffe Blondes, your Rayon Verts, they’re safe in your fridge when I visit. This style is known by the spicy characteristics of it’s hops & yeast. This one is no different.

The difference comes from Wilford Brimley’s favorite food, Oatmeal. The oats definitely smooth out that spicy, peppercorn flavor profile making this a very balanced, tame representation. Even though it’s not my favorite style, I can’t deny this one of my favorites in this style.
