Forget Cowbell. We’ve got a fever. And the only prescription … is more Sculpin. Grapefruit Sculpin, specifically, though we’ll settle for it’s Habanero brother from another mother as well as other Ballast Point offerings for next Tuesday’s beer dinner at Busy Bee in Raleigh.

The July 21st shindig is not for the faint of wallet, as it checks in at $50 a head. (Purchase tickets through Eventbrite here.) But the combination of beer being poured plus the food Busy Bee’s trotting out should make you hop on the train and ride.

The courses are as follows:

1. Local Tomato Carpaccio paired with Wahoo White.

2. Roasted Pig Roulade paired with Big Eye IPA

3. Crab Rangoon Ravioli with Habanero Sculpin

4. Crispy Duck Thigh “Paired with a Cask” (Three Sheets perhaps?)

5. Vanilla Porter Waffle with Vintage Victory at Sea

No Grapefruit and Habanero blend is a little disappointing but I guess we’re the only ones BOLD enough (or with enough legal wiggle room) to blend beers.

We kid, we kid. This is a beer dinner worth attending, even with the larger price tag. You’re getting five high-end beers and a pile of locally-cooked deliciousness. Let us know if you’re coming – the plan is to see you there, depending on what the respective ladies of CBR have to say about a Tuesday night work dinner.
