Have an event the public should know about? Let us know on Twitter @NCBeerReview or via email.

We’ll have more on Stella Brew next week in our Better Know A Bottle Shop series but felt it was worth mentioning an event they’ll have this Saturday from 2-4 p.m. for those in and around Winston-Salem.

Stella will be hosting the fine folks from Lagunitas, one of our (and everyone’s) favorite West Coast breweries. You have likely sampled their IPA, their Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ and hopefully have had one of my favorite beers ever, their Sucks Brown Shugga Substitute.

If not, Saturday is a great chance to rectify that mistake, sample a few other rarities and pick up some free swag.

Hairy Eyeball Ale is a solid addition here but the real temptations are the Fusion Ale and the High-Westifued Imperial Coffee Stout.

The latter is brewed with Petaluma Coffee & Tea’s beans and before being aged in Double Rye and American Prairie Bourbon barrels from High West Distillery in Park City, Utah. It’s extremely rare; if you go buy a growler.

The former is, well, we have no idea. But it’s likely a blended American IPA with a medium to high ABV and abundant hops. Basically a special edition IPA. You will likely want to try this.
