peabody's

If you’ve ever bought beer in Boone, you’ve most likely bought it at Peabody’s. If not, you’re doing it wrong.

Not only do they sell good beer, they hoard good beer. Once a year you get to benefit from their addiction at their cellar sale. You can find all sorts of rare beer from NC & beyond for purchase. In addition, there will be breweries pouring & most likely a bottle share to partake in (if you bring something to share as well).

This years event is Saturday, June 6th at the store from 12pm-5pm (although I’d get there super early). Special hotel rates are available at the Baymont ($92) & Courtyard ($150), just mention Peabody’s Cellar Sale. More details are below & on our event calendar.

It’s time once again for the event of the year in NC, and there is only one word to describe this years event….EPIC!! Last year over 3500 bottles were brought out to sell to the adoring public…this year you can double it! This is your chance to grab some of the coolest bottles of goodness that either you missed or never even got the chance to see. We’ve done the work for ya’, and kept them resting patiently in light temperature and humidity controlled cellars…waiting for their big day. Been Chasing a special one off? Couldn’t get to a favorite release? Ever wondered what your favorite crazy brew tasted like with some time on it, but never been able to keep it long enough to try? Here’s your chance!! If this is an event that you have not yet attended…what the heck are you waiting for?! It’s time to experience true beer geek bliss!

Along with the bottle sale there will be several of the hottest breweries around pouring rare oddities from their secret back stock. There is always a chance to try something that you may have never had, or may never have again! The tasting is free and open to everybody. It’s a great chance to rub some elbows with some of your favorite people in the suds business.
